Aaron Foster, MA, LPCC
Holistic Counseling & Nature-Based Healing

Helping individuals and families restore balance through counseling, nervous system regulation, and plant-based wellness.

Rooted in psychology. Guided by nature.

Aaron Foster, MA, LPCC, is a licensed professional clinical counselor and holistic practitioner whose work integrates psychotherapy, nervous system regulation, and traditional herbal medicine. His practice focuses on helping individuals restore balance between mind, body, and environment through a trauma-informed, nature-based approach to healing.

Aaron brings together multiple therapeutic modalities to meet clients where they are developmentally and emotionally. His clinical work incorporates experiential and play-based therapies, including experiential play therapy and sand tray therapy, which allow children and adolescents to process emotions and relational experiences through symbolic and creative expression. These approaches are particularly helpful for clients who may struggle to articulate complex feelings verbally, offering safe and developmentally appropriate pathways for emotional integration.

Working with adolescents and adults, Aaron also integrates trauma-informed psychotherapy, drawing from modalities such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), hypnotherapy, and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) to support the reprocessing of traumatic experiences and the restructuring of limiting cognitive and emotional patterns. His approach emphasizes nervous system regulation, helping clients develop tools to move from chronic states of stress or dysregulation toward greater resilience, emotional stability, and self-awareness.

In addition to his counseling work, Aaron has a strong background in traditional herbalism and plant-based wellness. Through his herbal practice, Nature’s Folk Herbal, he explores the relationship between mental health, nervous system function, and botanical medicine. He often incorporates herbal education and plant-based approaches that support stress regulation, emotional balance, and overall well-being. His work draws inspiration from traditional Western herbalism as well as broader ecological and symbolic frameworks that emphasize humanity’s relationship with the natural world.

Aaron’s philosophy of care is rooted in the belief that healing occurs through the integration of psychological insight, embodied experience, and connection to nature. By combining clinical mental health practice with experiential therapies and herbal knowledge, he works to create a therapeutic environment where clients can explore their experiences safely, build emotional resilience, and reconnect with their innate capacity for growth and transformation.

Through his counseling practice and educational work, Aaron is committed to helping individuals and families cultivate greater self-understanding, regulation, and well-being within the context of their lives, relationships, and communities.

Our counseling approach

At Nature’s Folk Herbal, we don’t just focus on relieving surface-level symptoms—we dig deeper to understand and address the root causes behind them. We believe that outward symptoms are often signals of deeper imbalances in the body, mind, or lifestyle. By uncovering and treating these underlying issues, we help restore balance and support the body’s natural healing processes. Our holistic approach empowers each client to move beyond temporary relief and toward lasting wellness, creating real, meaningful change from the inside out.
